More so, given their hastened pricing, the Bamford TAG Heuer watches are going to be at a level above most other TAG Heuer watches — especially the unmodified “stock” versions that these are based on by a perimeter of at least a few thousand dollars. In a feeling, working together with Bamford allows each of those LVMH brands like TAG Heuer to reach new customers and demographics, while not hurting the salability of the core group, without doing very much whatsoever. It’s a persuasive strategy to say the least, and again due to the leadership of Jean-Claude Biver.Each of these various Bamford TAG Heuer watches doesn’t automatically alter any of the watches, but instead concentrates on case coating remedies (black colour) too dial design alterations (which in many cases are colors along with other mild applications). I also quite like that these are all very legible (though I would need to see that differently cool-looking red and black dial Autavia in person to learn how easily one could read the time).My understanding is that for now, these Bamford TAG Heuer watches are now offered for purchase either directly through Bamford on their website (obviously, if you’re going to customize a model there) or through various Bamford authorized dealers around the world. It is not yet clear if those watches are offered for purchase through pick TAG Heuer dealers (though if there is sufficient demand I am sure there will be). Bamford pricing is up there just like Bamford’s capacity to call attention. Expensive yes, but don’t knock them before you try them. Prices start at #4,500 for your Bamford TAG Heuer Calibre 5, #7,000 for the Bamford TAG Heuer Autavia Caliber Heuer 02, and #7,500 for the Bamford TAG Heuer Monaco Caliber 11 watch.

From Miami to Paris to Tokyo, ten TAG Heuer boutiques around the world have just debuted their very own Globetrotter Exhibitions, which take place from September 16 to 30.

While all ten exhibitions feature vintage Heuer watches on loan from local collectors alongside watches from the company museum, each is dedicated to specific theme, ranging from military watches to motor racing. Cumulatively these ten exhibitions encompass almost the entirety of TAG Heuer’s history.

The Globetrotter Exhibitions are the latest salvo in Jean-Claude Biver’s campaign to reboot TAG Heuer. Apart from introducing bestselling watches and recruiting boldface names from pop culture as ambassadors, another crucial elment of Biver’s strategy reminding the world of the brand’s rich heritage. To that end he set up a restoration department and grew the TAG Heuer museum.

Already Biver’s efforts have boosted the value of vintage Heuer watches. This was most palpable when a first-generation Autavia sold for a whopping US$125,000 at Christie’s New York sale in December. And come November this year, Phillips will hold an auction dedicated to vintage Heuer watches. In some ways, the Globetrotter Exhibition is setting the stage for the November auction, which will probably see a record set for the most expensive Heuer ever.

The Globetrotter Exhibitions take place simultaneously in each country, from September 16 to 30.
